Murray Marathon match
Murray's long and arduous defeat by Novak on Friday and created the assumption that the Scot will become stronger and a major will follow in the future by the media. Opportunities have presented many time to Murray when he has contested his main rivals Federer, Nadal and Djokovic in majors. As I have stated his game is based on counter punching and his ‘DNA’ will find it difficult to attack the short ball as he tried with the backhand in to the net at 5-5 in the fifth set on break point.
He will run and chase lost causes with immense endeavor and stamina, yet only to lose in the finals.
It is with great credit that a player from Great Britain can challenge in the majors.
He has changed ‘coaches or staff’ He has changed diet, training. Has he changed his game enough to win? When in stressful situations and the chance to win a game his rivals will attack the ball and not wait. I have not seen this with Murray. The potential years have gone now he entering his veteran stage. If his body can hold up and more importantly the mind. he has a chance but that was a tough lost not a win for the now elder statesman in tennis.
