Is tennis becoming TOO fashionable?
It seems like these days that tennis, especially among the WTA tour, is not as important as fashion. It's not how the player plays, but it's all about what she's wearing and where you can get it.
What do you guys think?

RE:Is tennis becoming TOO fashionable?
That could certainly be true. Especially, players like Venus, Sharapova, and Ivanovic. In ways, I think it's positive for the sport to bring in attracting people of different interests. Not many sports have the ability to play with fashion as much as tennis does- in fact I don't think there is really any. Tennis has a huge commentary on society. I say up with fashion and tennis!

Ice skaters get points for fashion don't they?

RE:Is tennis becoming TOO fashionable?
True. But since we see them only seasonally, most of us when the Winter Olympics cycle around, there's not as much year-round opportunity for them to advertise their fashion sense.
Also, ice skating fashion seems more focused and tailored to the individual skater(s). It's not tied so strongly to the idea large-scale endorsement campaigns, as most popular pro sports are.
