so.. what do you think should be done? I'm sure you've all read the recent news about Andre's recent crystal meth use.. so what do you think should be done?

Should he be stripped of the majors he won in the time span? Should his prize money be revoked? Should he not be allowed entrance into the hall of fame?

I think his titles should all be stripped, you've gotta keep the sport clean, having one of the greats admit something like this is unacceptable.

RE:so.. what do you think should be done? i think they should reclaim the prize money he won during that period. it's not fair that he had a competitive edge over others if he was wired while playing. meth is speed and it would have allowed him to push through all the difficult points.

the sport's gotta be clean. besides, that money wouldn't hurt him that badly. look at the huge advance he got for his book. it would just be a great gesture on his part and it would show he was truly remorseful for his actions.

You make a valid point, I was always curious to know how he could play a grueling 5 setter then bounce back the next day to play again.

Trekking the globe before 2012.

RE:so.. what do you think should be done?

First off, what Agassi is doing is trying to sell more books. Do I think he should give back his prize money, no I don't think he needs to give back his money.  The people who need to be looked into are the officals at the ATP. They are the people who covered up for Agassi, and let him get away with his drug use. I know people are going to disagree with me, but what he did is what athletes these days are doing right now. Look at baseball players and even football players. The year in question are the years he was going through his troubled time in life. His turnaround came after the year the drug use came into question. He has overcame this problem and now a great family man, and this should be respected by all.

Yeah, even in his 60 minutes interview he says:
"Why would I write a book called Open and leave out one of the darkest points in my life?"

He definately bounced back from a pit of despair in '97 to have one of the greatest comebacks in the history of Tennis.. +1 on the ATP bigwigs who covered it up.

What ever happens in your life and you get depress and sad, there is other ways to overcome all those difficulties and meth was not the solution at all...
so yall are saying that is ok to take meth to overcome your issues in life??? and is ok that he did cuz he is human and we all make mistakes??? I disagree complety there is different ways to solve your problems in life other than drugs... He wasnt a lil kid that didnt know what meth was...
