The nation's most historic center court may soon be the home of condos in Queens. Forest Hills Tennis Stadium, which was home to the US Open for more than 60 years, is up for sale. The West Side Tennis Club, which owns the crumbling concrete stadium, has deemed the cost of repairing it too costly and wants to sell the stadium to a local developer which plans to convert it to luxury condos.

The 34-year-old mother of two made a winning return to tournament tennis at Stanford's Taube Family Tennis Stadium.  World No. 1 Liezel Huber and Davenport overcame an 8-6 deficit in the super tie breaker, winning the final four points of the match to defeat the second-seeded team of Yung-Jan Chan and Jie Zheng 7-5, 6-7(8), 10-8, capturing the Bank of the West doubles championship.

Sam Querrey stared down match then showed his survival skills in fighting into the Farmers Classic final with a 6-7(7), 7-6(7), 6-4 victory over Janko Tipsarevic at the LA Tennis Center at UCLA. It took Querrey two hours and 47 minutes and multiple comebacks to subdue Tipsarevic, who resembled a surfer in his neon green sunglasses.

Victoria Azarenka celebrated her 21st birthday in style today, blowing top-seeded Samantha Stosur off the court in a 6-2, 6-3 birthday bash to reach her third final of the year at the Bank of the West Classic. It is Azarenka's second final in her last three tournaments. She beat Agnieszka Radwanska, Heather Watson, Kim Clijsters and Marion Bartoli in succession to reach last month's Eastbourne final before bowing to Ekaterina Makarova.
