Isn’t it fitting that the man who hit one of the best if not the best ‘tweener of 2014 (vs. Benjamin Becker in Dubai) has also hit THE ABSOLUTE LAST ‘tweener of 2014?

This one was also worth a lot of money--and for a good cause.

The 93-minute match between Switzerland’s Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka raised 1.3 million Swiss Francs for the Roger Federer Foundation, an organization that promotes access to quality education and supports projects operated by local nonprofit groups primarily in six countries in southern Africa and Switzerland.

Federer nailed this beauty past the outstretched arms Stan Wawrinka, bringing the 11,000 fans to their feet, before taking the victory, 7-6(6), 6-4.

"The fact that we were able to raise such a large amount for the foundation makes the evening even more special," Federer said. "A hearty thank you to Stan that he made this possible."
