After flirting with dropping out of the top 20 earlier in the season, a rejuvenated Caroline Wozniacki has worked her way to the top of the leader board in her section of the WTA Finals.

The Dane backed up her dramatic victory over Maria Sharapova on Tuesday with a straight-sets takedown of Agnieszka Radwanska on Thursday, 7-5, 6-3.

Wozniacki improved her career record to 7-4 vs. the Pole and made it 2-0 on the season by taking advantage of Radwanska’s mistakes and refusing to make any of her own. Radwanska committed 31 unforced errors, many of which came on crucial points during this tense affair.

The Pole could only save four of ten points, and while she was close to Wozniacki in the rallies and on the scoreboard for most of the match, it was Wozniacki who ran away from her at the conclusion of each set. After a topsy-turvy opening set, Wozniacki would break for 6-5 when Radwanska forehand flew well wide and hold to 30 to secure the set.

The second set was also tight, but Wozniacki would move ahead in the business end, reeling off the final four games and breaking to love to secure the victory in one hour and 47 minutes.

"I knew from the start this wasn't going to be an easy match, it was going to be a match with a lot of long rallies and some incredible shotmaking," Wozniacki said, according to the WTA Tour. "I came out there and was a little bit nervous and a few times early on I was thinking, 'Aga, how did you make that ball?'

Wozniacki now stands as the only undefeated player in the white group, but she is still not assured of reaching the semifinals.
