Ivan Dodig rallied for a 5-7, 7-6 (1), 6-4 victory over Dusan Lajovic to advance to the Istanbul quarterfinals.

Ivan Dodig went the distance to set up an Istanbul quarterfinal against Grigor Dimitrov.

Dodig rallied for a 5-7, 7-6 (1), 6-4 victory over Dusan Lajovic to advance to his first ATP quarterfinal since the opening week of the season in Doha. The 107th-ranked Dodig will face Dimitrov for a place in the final four.

The second-seeded Dimitrov rolled into his second straight quarterfinal quarterfinal with a 6-3, 6-2 conquest of Andrey Golubev.

"It was a good match today and I am looking forward to tomorrow," Dimitrov told ATP World Tour. "I played a solid, structured game and it was enough for me to win today."

Third seed Pablo Cuevas overcame qualifier Teymuraz Gabashvili, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. Cuevas faces Thomaz Bellucci in the quarterfinals.

The left-handed Brazilian beat Denis Istomin, 7-6 (3), 6-4.

Top-seeded Roger Federer takes on Daniel Gimeno-Traver in Friday's second quarterfinal.
