Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Jiri Vesely will face off in the BRD Nastase Tiriac Trophy final in Bucharest, Romania.

ATP: Nishikori Eases into Barcelona Final

Vesely entered his second tour final this season after rallying from a set down in his semifinal on Saturday against Spain's Daniel Gimeno-Traver.

After losing the first set, the No. 7 seeded Vesely hit six aces and held off the Spaniard in the final set to secure a 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 win. Vesely avenged a loss to his opponent in the Casablanca semifinals.

“I was in the semi-finals two weeks ago in Casablanca and I lost against Gimeno-Traver, so it was kind of a revenge today,” Vesely said to ATP.com. “To be in the final event is a really special moment. I will prepare as best as possible. I will try to play my best tomorrow and I will definitely enjoy the final as this will be a special day.”

Vesely will seek his second title of the year having won Auckland in January.

The second semifinal featured No. 5 seed Garcia-Lopez against No. 2 seed Gael Monfils. Early in the first set, Garcia-Lopez took hold of a break lead that eventually turned into a 5-2 advantage.

But Garcia-Lopez, serving up 5-3, would double fault on set point. He soon lost the game and that allowed Monfils to climb back in the set. The Frenchman forced a tiebreak and with a smash winner closed it out 7-6 (2).

Garcia-Lopez struck a forehand winner to break Monfils in the opening game of the second set. From there, Garcia-Lopez held on to his lead to win the second set and force a decider.

Though Monfils held a break point on Garcia-Lopez early in the final set, it was the Spaniard who broke first and soon led 2-1. With Monfils in fading form, Garcia-Lopez would not feel threatened near the end. Monfils hit long down match point allowing Garcia-Lopez to celebrate the 6-7(2), 6-4, 6-2 win.

Garcia-Lopez will go after his second title of the year as well in Sunday's final having won Zagreb in February. It will be a first time meeting for him against Vesely on the main tour.
