The draw for April’s Fed Cup World Group playoffs revealed that the Americans will have to travel overseas for it’s fifth meeting since 2009 with the Italians.

The Americans have lost the last four—twice on the road and twice while hosting—against Italy. But Serena and Venus Williams did not participate in any of the four ties.
The US holds a 9-4 overall edge against Italy, with their last win coming in 2003.
The Netherlands, Poland and Canada will also host World Group playoff ties on the same weekend. Below is the results of today’s draw:
