Belinda Bencic found new life in the Topshelf Open quarterfinals and made the most of it to reach her second career final.

Bencic beat second-seeded Jelena Jankovic, 6-3, 6-3, to storm into her first grass-court final at 's-Hertogenbosch.

Bencic won nine of the first 13 games today before the former world No. 1 rallied to level the second set at 3-3. Bencic closed emphatically, winning eight straight points to seal her trip to the final.

"Everything worked well for me. I played a really good match," Bencic told the media afterward. "My serve could have worked better, but it was a little bit windy, so it was tricky. But other than that I played really well against JJ, which is always difficult because she gets a lot of balls back, and makes you hit an extra shot."

The fourth-seeded Swiss will play fifth-seeded Italian Camila Giorgi in tomorrow's title match.

Giorgi, who  staved off three match points in her quarterfinal conquest of Yaroslava Shvedova, defeated Dutch No. 1 Kiki Bertens, 6-2, 6-4, in today's second semifinal.

It is the second career final for the 18-year-old Swiss, who lost to Alison Riske in her first WTA final on the hard courts of Tianjin, China last fall.

It was a relatively quick turnaround time for the world No. 33, who saved three match points defeating Kristina Mladenovic in a quarterfinal thriller on Friday.

The Swiss went into ice mode to recover.

"I had to do stretching, an ice bath, massage," Bencic said. "It's obviously very tough to play for three hours on grass, you have to stay very low, but I recovered in time for today, so I'm very happy."
