Stan lost his shorts, Nick lost his temper and Lleyton lost his final Wimbledon match. It's all in the Day 1 Media Mash.

A smattering of delectable tweets from Day 1 of the Championships…
1. Today was like a holiday for most of us, but it was just another day for @WTAreactions, a great Twitter account that steals the show on the Twittersphere most every day (another gem from this feed down the page).
2. Extra, extra! Read all about it! Stanimal, you’d make a nice statue, but Pammie is right, the backhand shot is way better.
3. Stand up and put your hands together for a truly legendary fighter (and player). Lleyton Hewitt’s Wimbledon account was closed today, but fans got their money’s worth in this five set thriller vs. Jarkko Nieminen.
4. If he’s smart, he loves you too, Vika!
5. Pic of the day. This bird was intent on watching defending champion Novak Djokovic battle with Philipp Kohlschreiber. Eventually he got scared off by a ballboy. Rumor has it he went over to Court No. 18 where there was less security.
6. Your mind-blowing stat of the day, courtesy of the WTA’s Kevin Fischer.
7. And now, a little history homework for our true tennis fans who are always seeking to reconnect with the past...
8. Serena Williams won today’s war, 6-1, 6-4, over Margarita Gasparyan, but she lost this war. One too many Margaritas—like that.
9. Nick Kyrgios remained true to his word and did not play until the supervisor came to see him.
10. Recently, when we announced that we never see a fashion miss from Sloane Stephens, we were told by some that she never takes any risk with her fashion. Well, as far as Wimbledon goes, this is pretty risqué. And still, no miss!
11. (Because this one goes to 11) Turn the sound up, this could be the tweet of the century. We told you @WTAreactions was a workhorse…
