Guillermo Garcia-Lopez withstood a slow start and big-serving Marin Cilic, rallying to a 1-6, 7-5, 6-3, victory to reach his third final of the year in Shenzhen.

The fourth-seeded Spaniard scored his third straight win over the 2014 US Open champion.

Garcia-Lopez will face Tomas Berdych in Monday's final.

The top-seeded Berdych hit eight aces and did not drop serve dismissing third-seeded Tommy Robredo, 6-1, 6-4, in 73 minutes. Berdych held a 6-1, 3-3 lead when rain halted play. He wrapped up the win to reach his fourth final of the year.

The fifth-ranked Czech, who was runner-up in Doha (to David Ferrer), Rotterdam (to Stan Wawrinka) and Monte Carlo (to Novak Djokovic), is playing for his first title since Stockholm in 2014.

"It is what it is," Berdych said. "We can't do anything about the weather. Many years ago I played a final on a Monday and it was very similar to today. Otherwise, we'd have to call it off and there would be no winner."

Garcia-Lopez and Berdych have split six prior meetings. Berdych beat Garcia-Lopez, 6-7 (2), 7-6 (7), 6-3, 6-3, at the US Open last month.
