Nao Hibino won the Tashkent title in just her second Tour-level event, taking down Donna Vekic in the final.

Playing in just her second Tour-level event, Japan’s Nao Hibino has her first WTA title. The 20-year-old eased past Donna Vekic in the Tashkent final, saving all three break points she faced and breaking the Croatian twice in each stanza to secure the victory in one hour and 11 minutes.

Hibino, who owns three ITF titles in 2015 as well, did not drop a set all week.

Hibino becomes just the 10th Japanese player to have earned a WTA title, and will rise to around No. 80 in the rankings next week, breaking the Top-100 for the first time.
