On the eve of the heavily anticipated Federer-Djokovic US Open final, we go inside the numbers.

Ahead of their second Grand Slam final in two months, let's go inside the numbers of the storied Federer-Djokovic rivalry.

Number of times Djokovic and Federer will have locked horns after Sunday, which moves them past Federer and Nadal (33), Connors and McEnroe (34), Connors-Lendl / Becker-Edberg (35) and Lendl-McEnroe (36) for second-most head-to-head meetings by two players. After meeting five times in 2014 and already five times in 2015 the pair are inching closer to Djokovic-Nadal.

Today's meeting will be the fourth Grand Slam final between the rivals, with Djokovic holding the 2-1 edge, having won the last two Wimbledon finals vs. Federer. Federer defeated Djokovic in their first Grand Slam final meeting in the 2007 US Open final.
