After a few days to sulk over her U.S. Open semifinal loss to Roberta Vinci, Serena Williams found the perfect diversion—fashion (and some football). The 33-year-old played a big role in New York City’s fashion week by putting on a runway show of her Serena Williams’ HSN Signature Statement Collection on Tuesday, with Anna Wintour and Drake in attendance.

Major news outlets caught up with Williams at the event and here is what the 21-time Grand Slam champion had to say about her mental state:

“I was really, really bummed out,” Williams told USA Today. “I played the best I can play and she’s never played better. She just happened to bring her best game and there was nothing I could have done about it that day.”

The fashion show, which drew rave reviews, did its part to cheer the World No. 1 up, as did this nice hug from Drake:

According to the Associated Press, Williams expressed happiness for Roberta Vinci and chalked up the whole experience as a win.

"We should be happy for each other, you know what I mean?” she said. “We gotta build up each other. We can't be angry."

She added: “I won four [majors] in a row, and got to the semis in another one, and I've done that twice," Williams said. "I mean how many people have done that? So, yeah, it wasn't a loss for me, it was a win and a learning experience. And I tried hard. Unfortunately the girl I played just outplayed me that day, you know ... She probably deserved it. And I am happy for her."

Despite losing on Friday, Williams still found time to seek out and congratulate her friend Novak Djokovic on Sunday night after he defeated Roger Federer for his 10th US Open title in the final.

“I was texting [Djokovic] and he was at Catch (a New York City Club) Williams said. “I wanted to congratulate him. I was so happy for him.”
