Guillermo Garcia-Lopez snapped a three-match losing streak against Nicolas Almagro on Thursday at the Grand Prix Hassan II in Morocco, rebounding after an ugly first set to triumph, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Garcia-Lopez won 61 percent of his first-serve points and did not face a break point in the final two sets to earn the victory in two hours and seven minutes.
The top seed and 2014 champion will move on to face Jiri Vesely in the quarterfinals. Vesely eased past Croatian qualifier Nikola Mektic, 6-7(4), 6-3, 7-6(5).
7th-seeded Pablo Carreno Busta, who defeated Denis Istomin, 6-3, 7-6(5), and 4th-seeded Federico Delbonis, who took out Thiemo De Bakker, 6-4, 6-4, also advanced.
