After today’s 6-1, 6-2 win over Danka Kovinic in Melbourne, Victoria Azarenka has now dropped just 20 games in her last seven matches. In case that didn’t make a believer out of you, check out this around-the-net post winner from Azarenka in the second set of today’s victory. That ball was struck with AUTHORITY.

Azarenka moves on to face Japan’s 18-year-old sensation Naomi Osaka in the third round. Osaka powered past No. 18 seed Elina Svitolina, 6-4, 6-4, to reach the third round in her first career main draw at a major.

Other winners in early action on Day 4 were third-seeded Garbine Muguruza, who defeated Kirsten Flipkens, 6-4, 6-2, and No. 20 seed Ana Ivanovic, who downed Anastasija Sevastova, 6-3, 6-3.

Great Britain’s Johanna Konta, who upset Venus Williams in the first round, was also a straight-sets winner on Day 4.
