Bernard Tomic has found his way into the gossip pages again. The 23-year-old Australian star got into a row with security at a Gold Coast resort this week when he was asked to pay fees for court time while practicing for his appearance at the Brisbane International.

According to News.Com.Au, Tomic got into trouble when he told recreational players to leave the court he wanted to practice on, then produced an offensive outburst when intervening staff asked him to pay for the court.

“I’ve been so focused on preparing for all my matches, I know there’s no excuse for my behavior,” Tomic said. “I didn’t mean to cause any trouble and I apologize to the club members. … There seems to have been a bit of a misunderstanding and my practice was interrupted and I got a bit frustrated.”

It's not the first time the Aussie has expressed anger over being made to pay for court time. Tomic famously went on an epic rant against Aussie tennis chief Craig Tiley in which he mentioned feeling irked by having to pay for tennis courts.
