Agnieszka Radwanska is finding her form as Wimbledon approaches. The top-seed rolled past Canada’s Eugenie Bouchard 6-3, 6-3 at Eastbourne on Wednesday to book her spot in the Aegon International quarterfinals. The 2008 champion and 2015 runner-up at Devonshire Park improved to 55-22 on grass and 3-0 lifetime against Bouchard.

"I think it was a really great match from the beginning to the end,” said Radwanska, who struck 16 winners against just 9 unforced errors for the match. “I was playing such good tennis the whole match and I'm very happy with my game and hoping I can play better and better.”

Bouchard won less than half of her first-serve points against Radwanska and will head to Wimbledon with a 3-3 record on grass. The 22-year-old defeated Varvara Lepchenko and Irina-Camelia Begu to advance to the round of 16.

In the biggest surprise of the day, Great Britain’s Johanna Konta produced a rousing victory against grass guru Petra Kvitova to book her place in the last eight at Eastbourne for the second consecutive year.

Konta ended a seven-game losing streak early in the second set and won 12 of the final 14 games to bounce Kvitova from the draw, 5-7, 6-4, 6-0.

She had blown a 5-2 lead in the opener, but didn’t let hear early misfortunes get her down.

"It's definitely one of my biggest wins, even though I don't think she's in the Top 10 this week,” Konta said. “She has been a Top 10 player or Top 5 player for years and years and years now. She really is a champion, and so I am very happy with the level I was able to produce, you know, even if it didn't go my way and just kept plugging away throughout that whole match."

Konta did not face a break point in the final two sets and broke Kvitova four times on nine opportunities to take charge of the match.

The British No.1 will face either Andrea Petkovic or Ekaterina Makarova in the quarterfinals. Petkovic and Makarova had their match suspended by rain early in the first set, while Misaki Doi and Karolina Pliskova were halted with Pliskova leading by a set.

Earlier on Wednesday Kristina Mladenovic backed up her upset of Timea Bacsinszky with a straight-sets win over Anna-Lena Friedsam, while Monica Puig battled past Caroline Wozniacki in three tough sets.
