Andy Murray will battle tennis’s newest ageless wonder while Stan Wawrinka will return to the scene of one of his greatest wins as Day 2 of the French Open gets underway. Here’s what we’ll be watching:

See the Complete Day 2 Order of Play Here

Stan Wawrinka vs. Lukas Rosol, First Match, Chatrier

Fresh off his title in Geneva, defending champion Stan Wawrinka will make his way out to Court Philippe Chatrier, the scene of his most epic triumph, to face Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic. Wawrinka just defeated Rosol in the semis at Geneva in three sets, and owns a 4-0 lifetime edge against him, but it surely won’t be easy managing the emotions and handling the Paris conditions for the Swiss, especially given that Wawrinka didn’t arrive to Paris until late Saturday evening. “It's the first time I have arrived so late, that's for sure,” Wawrinka said in press on Sunday. “Now, I hope it's not going to bother me for tomorrow. I arrived only yesterday night from Geneva, so I don't have my head already on the French Open, so that's a little bit different.”

Wawrinka’s head is out of it’s normal routine, but as long as his heart is in the right place he should find a way past Rosol and into round two without too much trouble.

Pick: Wawrinka in four

Alizé Cornet vs. Kirsten Flipkens, Last Match, Chatrier

Alizé Cornet gave the French faithful plenty to cheer about last year when she reached the round of 16 for the first time at Roland Garros. This year she’ll look to produce an encore, and it all begins with a battle with Belgium’s cagey Kirsten Flipkens. This should be an interesting battle of crafty players that each play with beaucoup personality. Cornet, one of nine former Roland Garros girls’ singles champions in the draw, went 1-5 during the clay season but is hoping a return to a magical place will spur her to victory over a player that she’s gotten the better of in their head-to-head.

Pick: Cornet in three

Andy Murray vs. Radek Stepanek, fourth match, Chatrier

It’s time to see if Andy Murray can produce the type of Roland Garros performance that he has proven to be capable of over the years. The Scot, a semifinalist last year in Paris, will tangle with a resurgent Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic in round one. “Steps” made his way valiantly through qualifying last week, and at 37, he’s bidding to become the oldest man to win a match at Roland Garros since 1991. Actually, he already is the oldest man to win a match at Roland Garros since 1991—he did that last year—so he’ll try to top his own accomplishment. But he’ll have his hands full with the in-form Murray, who is fresh off the Rome title and a win over world No. 1 Novak Djokovic.

Pick: Murray in three

By the Numbers:

8 Number of French men that will be in action on Monday.

1935 Last time a British male won Roland Garros (Fred Perry, of course)

0 Number of wins achieved by Serbia’s Bojana Jovanovski in 2016. She’ll face No. 2 seed Agnieszka Radwanska on Chatrier.
