Andy Murray has reunited with former coach Ivan Lendl and the pair will begin working together this week as Murray bids for a record fifth title at Queen’s Club. Lendl, who helped guide Murray to his Olympic Gold medal and his first to major titles, has not coached a top player since.

The pair parted ways in March of 2014, and while Murray has achieved great success, winning the Davis Cup and climbing to No. 2 in the world, he has been unable to win another major. After a run of fine play at Roland Garros, Murray is hoping to change that at Wimbledon this year.

Murray says he hopes the relationship will continue beyond Wimbledon.

“Well hopefully it will be for a long time, from my side,” he said in a television interview on Sunday. “He’s coming over, he’ll be here for the tournament and it’s good for him to spend a bit of time with the rest of the team as well to see how things work out. But provided everything’s good, it will hopefully go on for a long time.”

Murray knows that Lendl is not an unknown commodity—he’s aware of what Lendl can bring to the table.

“I think the most successful period of my career was while I was working with Ivan,” he said. “I know what he can offer. The experiences he had I think psychologically he helped me in the major competitions and they’re obviously the events I’m trying to win and am competing for. I hope he can bring that same experience and those same benefits that he did last time.”
