The 29-year-old Serb is off to a career-best 10-2 start and will enter his 9th career final across the net from top-seeded Roberto Bautista Agut on Sunday.
Troicki and Bautista Agut have each claimed titles this season, with Bautista Agut winning his third career title in Auckland and Troicki winning his third title in Sydney.
In Saturday’s first semifinal at the inaugural Garanta Kozi Sofia Open, Bautista Agut took the first set from Gilles Muller in a tiebreaker then broke in the third game of the second set to take control for good. The Spaniard, who improves to 11-2 on the season, saved the only break he faced on the day.
Klizan saved 16 of 21 break points over the course of his tense battle with Troicki, but he was broken in the 11th game of the third set before the Serb served out the victory in two hours and 23 minutes.
Troicki improves to 5-1 over Klizan, with wins in their last four battles.
Troicki and Bautista Agut will meet for the first time on Sunday.
