Top-seeded Elina Svitolina captured her third title of the season with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Elise Mertens in the Istanbul Cup final.

Three months into the season, Elina Svitolina is already a three-time champion.
The top-seeded Svitolina swept sixth-seeded Elise Mertens, 6-2, 6-4, in the Istanbul final to capture her WTA-best third championship of the season. Svitolina is the first and only three-time winner on the Tour in 2017.

It is the 22-year-old Ukrainian's first clay-court title of the year.
Svitolina converted six of 12 break points wrapping up a decisive win in 75 minutes.
The title run follows successive hard-court championships in Taipei City, where Svitolina beat Peng Shuai, 6-3, 6-2, in the final and Dubai, where she stopped former world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki, 6-4, 6-2.
Svitolina raised her 2017 record to 26-5, including winning 21 of her last 25 matches.
