“I am very excited to be returning to the WTA at the Bank of the West Classic,” said Azarenka, who will turn 28 on July 31st. “Becoming a mother has been the most rewarding thing that has ever happened to me and really puts things in perspective. I am looking forward to beginning this new stage of my career.”

2010 champion Azarenka has not appeared at Stanford since 2014.

Azarenka went 24-3 before pregnancy ended her season in 2016, with titles in Brisbane, Indian Wells and Miami.

World No.11 Madison Keys has also committed to the Bank of the West Classic, which takes place from July 31 to August 6th this summer.
