The Croatian has reached at least the quarterfinals in each of the last four Wimbledons and has a 27-9 lifetime record at the Championships. (Federer’s all-time record at Wimbledon is 90-11).

The 28-year-old defeated Federer in straight sets at the 2014 U.S. Open semifinal en route to his first major title.

4. 2

Cilic is bidding to become the first player from Croatia to earn multiple major titles. Goran Ivanisevic (2001) Wimbledon and Iva Majoli (1997 Roland Garros) are the two other Croatians that have won major titles.

5. 130

Cilic leads all players with 130 aces during the Wimbledon fortnight. 60 percent of his first-serves have come back unreturned, while 21 percent of his second-serves have not been returned. The Croatian has won 91 percent of his service games.

Federer has struck 64 aces and won 95 percent of his service games (79/83). The Swiss has saved 80 percent of the break points he has faced (16/20) while Cilic has saved just 58 percent of break points faced (14/24).

6. 2

Federer is bidding to become just the third player in Open Era history to win multiple major titles without dropping a set, and the second to do so at Wimbledon. Three players—Federer (2007 Australian Open), Nastase (1973 Roland Garros) and Rosewall (1971 Australian Open) have won one major without dropping a set.

7. 8

Federer is bidding to become the first male player to win eight Wimbledon titles. A victory in today's final would move him beyond Pete Sampras and Williams Renshaw on the all-time Wimbledon title list.

8. 18-10

Federer will make his 29th Grand Slam final appearance on Sunday, which is seven more than any other Open Era Player. The Swiss owns an 18-10 lifetime record in major finals and 7-3 at Wimbledon.

Here are the top five Open Era players in terms of Grand Slam final appearances:

Federer, 29

Sampras, 18

9. 11

Roger Federer has become the first man in tennis history to reach more than ten finals at a single major. He’ll contest his 11th Wimbledon final, which pushes him past Rafael Nadal (10 Roland Garros finals) and Bill Tilden (10 U.S. Open finals).
