Anastasija Sevastova took out defending champion Caroline Garcia to reach the final of the Mallorca Open for the second consecutive season, 6-4, 6-2. Sevastova hit 14 winners to just nine unforced errors to avenge her loss to the Frenchwoman in last year’s final—the Latvian improves to 22-14 on the season with the win and will face Germany’s Julia Goerges in the final.

Goerges thumped American CiCi Bellis with a dazzling display of power tennis, wrenching 27 winners against just 12 unforced errors and breaking the 18-year-old six times to win, 6-1, 6-1.
Sevastova will bid for her second career title and first since 2010 on Sunday; Goerges will bid for her third career title.
Neither player has ever won a WTA title on grass.
Goerges has won all three of her previous meetings against Sevastova but the pair have not met since 2012.
