Novak Djokovic will add recently retired Radek Stepanek to his coaching team in 2018. The Serb and the Czech took to Instagram Live to announce the news from his training base in Monte-Carlo.

“We are excited for the new season and that was the way we wanted to break the news to you,” he said. "This is the new team, this is my new man. We are excited for the new season."

Stepanek will join Andre Agassi as a part of the brain trust dedicated to helping Djokovic engineer a return to form in 2018.

Agassi will do more at the majors while Stepanek will focus on being present at the other ATP events. Djokovic went 32-8 last season but did not play after Wimbledon due to a concerning elbow surgery.

He released this practice video on Facebook yesterday, showing a return to full fitness.
