Henri Kontinen and John Peers are one win away from becoming the first team to repeat at the Nitto ATP Finals since 2004. The Aussie-Finn combo rolled past Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares 7-6(2), 6-2 in Saturday’s second doubles match at the O2 Arena to stretch their winning streak to five over the British-Brazilian duo.

The No.2-seeded duo saved the only break point they faced and converted on six of eight of their own against Murray and Soares.

In the early double match, Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo knocked off Ryan Harrison and Michael Venus, 6-1, 6-4. The 2017 Wimbledon champions already clinched the ATP’s year-end doubles No.1 ranking earlier in the week and they’ll try to complete a banner year when they face Kontinen and Peers for the fifth time.

Kontinen and Peers hold the 3-1 lifetime edge in the pair’s rivalry.
