Lucas Pouille claimed his biggest championship to become a champion for all surfaces.
In the first all-French final in tournament history, Pouille did not drop serve dispatching Davis Cup teammate Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 6-1, 6-4 to capture his first career 500-level championship in Vienna.

It was Pouille’s third title of the year as he became the first man to win championships on three different surfaces this season. Pouille beat Aljaz Bedene to win Budapest on red clay in April before defeating Feliciano Lopez to collect the Stuttgart title on grass in June.
The 23-year-old Pouille won his fourth career title avenging a 6-4, 6-4, setback to Tsonga in the Marseille final earlier this year.
The pair have combined for all seven ATP titles won by Frenchmen this season, with Tsonga winning four championships.
Pouille dropped only one set—to Kyle Edmund in yesterday’s 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 semifinal victory—in five Vienna victories, raising his record to 34-20 in 2017. The world No. 25 saved 18 of 22 break points he faced in the tournament.
