Benoit Paire snapped his semifinal losing streak to burst into the Metz final.

Paire turned back Nikoloz Basilashvili 6-1, 7-6 (5), snapping his eight-match semifinal losing streak to reach his first final since the 2015 Tokyo title match.

Paire pumped 17 aces and denied all four break points he faced.

The seventh-seeded Frenchman, who toppled second-seeded David Goffin in Friday's quarterfinals, will face first-time finalist Peter Gojowczyk in tomorrow's final.

The German qualifier led Mischa Zverev, 6-3, 1-0, when Zverev retired due to the flu.
