Kyle Edmund reached his first ATP title with a win over Richard Gasquet at the Grand Prix Hassan in Marrakech.

23-year-old Kyle Edmund survived double duty on Saturday in Marrakech to reach his first ATP final with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Richard Gasquet.

Previously on Friday Edmund defeated Malek Jaziri, 6-2, 6-1, while Gasquet knocked off Gilles Simon 6-2, 7-6(4), to improve to 8-0 lifetime over his compatriot at the ATP level.
Edmund had never previously reached a quarterfinal on clay and carried a lifetime record of 12-13 on the surface heading into the season.
Gasquet had notched straight-sets win over Thomas Fabbiano, Guillermo Garcia Lopez and Simon to reach the semis.
Edmund had previously lost all five of his ATP semifinals. He will face either Pablo Andujar or Joao Sousa in the final.
