Timea Babos won her third career title by defeating Kateryna Kozlova, 7-5, 6-1, for the Taiwan Open title in Tapei City.

The reigning Australian Open doubles champion had to battle hard to sneak out the first set against first-time finalist Kozlova, who had a game point for 5-3 in the opening set but was unable to protect her lead.

Babos broke for 7-5 and took eight of the final nine games to claim the title. The World No. 45 broke five times on seven opportunities and dropped only five points on serve as she picked up momentum in the second set.
