Keeping up with the game of tennis, by the numbers. Each day at Tennis Now we’ll give you a fresh set—without any further ado, here’s what the numbers say ahead of Manic Monday at Wimbledon.

29

Consecutive sets won by Roger Federer at Wimbledon. The Swiss is just six sets from breaking the all-time Wimbledon record for consecutive sets won (held by him). Federer won 34 straight sets in 2005 and 2006.

The Swiss also passed Jimmy Connors on the all-time Open Era grass-court win list by notching his 175th victory on the surface. Federer now owns a 175-25 on grass, while Connors finished his career at 174-34.

9

Number of Top 10 seeds that failed to reach the round of 16 at Wimbledon, setting a new tournament record. The only Top 10 seed to make it through was No.7-seeded Karolina Pliskova.

7

Number of round of 16 matches that Dominika Cibulkova has won consecutively at majors. The Slovakian, unseeded, will face Hsieh Su-Wei on Monday.

2

Number of qualifiers to reach the round of 16 at Wimbledon. World No.135 Ernests Gulbis made it on the men’s side and World No.120 made it on the women’s side. The best a qualifier has ever done is reach the semifinals at Wimbledon. It’s happened once on the women’s side (Alexandra Stevenson, 1999) and twice on the men’s side (John McEnroe, 77, Vladimir Voltchkov, 2000).

4

Number of players outside the Top 100 that have reached the round of 16 at Wimbledon. They are No. 181 Serena Williams, No.138 Ernests Gulbis, No.120 Evgeniya Rodina and No.103 MacKenzie McDonald.

18

Number of career grass-court titles that Roger Federer has won, which is seven more than the other 15 players in the round of 16. Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic each have four, while John Isner has three.

47-8

Serena Williams all-time record at Round of 16 at majors. The American has gone 12-2 in the fourth-round at SW19, losing to Marion Bartoli in 2011 and Sabine Lisicki in 2013.

10

Number of times that serve-and-volley has been attempted by the remaining 16 players in the women’s singles draw. Only two players (Goerges, 4 and Giorgi, 3) have attempted it more than once. Sasnovich, Pliskova and Hsieh have each tried one attempt.

0-5

The current record of Julia Goerges in round of 16 matches at majors. She’ll face Croatia’s Donna Vekic, with both players bidding for their first major quarterfinal.

11

Number of players on the round of 16 that have never reached the quarterfinals at a major before. See below.

5

Consecutive appearances without reaching the quarterfinals at Wimbledon for Rafael Nadal. The Spaniard will face Jiri Vesely to reach the last eight at the All England Club for the first time since 2011. Nadal has gone 11-5 at Wimbledon since 2012, with four losses to players outside the Top 100.

18

Number of consecutive wins at Wimbledon that Serena Williams has recorded. She skipped 2017 due to pregnancy and has not lost here since falling to Alizé Cornet in the third round in 2014.
