The 26-year-old had knocked off two-time defending champion Stan Wawrinka on Thursday to reach his first ATP semifinal.
Fucsovics has to battle from a set down but shook free of nerves and played solid tennis to reverse his fortune against the No.6-seeded American.
Fucsovics dominated the third set, winning 15 of 24 return points and breaking three times on six opportunities while not facing a break point.
The World No.60 will face Peter Gojowczyk in the final. The German took down Italy’s Fabio Fognini, 6-4, 6-4, to reach his second final of 2018.
