Karolina Muchova and Jill Teichmann will battle in the Prague Open final with a maiden title on the line after each came through in straight sets on a chilly Friday at the J&T Banka Prague Open.

Muchova defeated American Bernarda Pera 6-2 7-5 to reach the final on home soil and ensure that a Czech would feature in the final for the fifth consecutive year at Prague.

Teichmann followed suit with a 6-3 6-0 win over Barbora Strycova to create the first ever Prague final to feature two players ranked outside the Top 100.

Muchova and Teichmann are the fourth and fifth players ranked outside the Top 100 to reach a WTA final in 2019. They join Bianca Andreescu (Auckland), Astra Sharma (Bogota) and Iga Swiatek (Lugano).

Anna Kalinskaya and Viktoria Kuzmova took the doubles title with a 4-6 7-5 10-7 triumph over top-seeded Nicole Melichar and Kveta Peschke.

(June 7, 2012) -- Maria Sharapova returned to No. 1 in the world with a command performance against Petra Kvitova in the semifinals of Roland Garros this afternoon.
