Two-time major champion Garbiñe Muguruza and Hall of Famer Conchita Martinez will resume the partnership that netted them a Wimbledon title in 2017.

The Spaniard, currently ranked 35 after a season of trials, tribulations and a split with longtime coach Sam Sumyk, announced the news on social media on Saturday.

Martinez, who finished a trial with Muguruza in the spring of 2018, had been working with Karolina Pliskova, but the pair split after this years’ WTA finals.

Muguruza certainly has room to grow her ranking in 2020. The 26-year-old managed only 26 wins and one title in 2019. She only reached three quarterfinals in 2019 and suffered first-round losses at Wimbledon and the US Open.
