With finals looming in Shanghai, Linz and Tianjin, let’s go inside the numbers to preview the title matches and track some of the accomplishments that we’ve witnessed this week in tennis.

8 Number of consecutive wins logged by Russia’s Daniil Medvedev. The 23-year-old improved to 58-17 on the season and he’ll bid for his fourth title of 2019 in Sunday’s final. More on Medvedev later.

72 The projected ranking of Coco Gauff if she wins the title at Linz. The 15-year-old defeated Kiki Bertens in the Linz quarterfinals for her first career Top 10 win on Friday and backed that up with a 6-4 6-4 win over Andrea Petkovic on Saturday in the semis.

80 Gauff is projected to climb to 80 in the world if she loses the final. She started the season at 685.

1999 The last time that all four semi-finalists at a Masters 1000 event were under the age of 24. That happened this week in Shanghai, as Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev, Matteo Berrettini and Alexander Zverev all made the semis. It had not happened since 1999 at Hamburg prior to this week.

11 Number of consecutive tiebreakers won by Medvedev. He has not lost a tiebreaker since the Citi Open final against Nick Kyrgios.

16 Number of consecutive sets won by Medvedev. The Russian has not lost a set since the US Open final.

3 Number of match points that Jelena Ostapenko saved in her 1-6 7-6(5) 7-5 victory over Ekaterina Alexandrova (one at 6-5 in the second set and two more match points at 5-4 in the third). Ostapenko is into her first final of 2019 and will bid for her first title since 2017 (Seoul) when she meets Gauff in the final.

2016 The last time Great Britian’s Heather Watson played a WTA Final. The World No.125 had only won two matches on tour all season prior to her run to the Tianjin final. She has never lost a WTA final, going 3-0 with titles in Monterrey (2016), Hobart (2015) and Osaka (2012).

28-3 Medvedev’s record since he began his North American hard court season at the Citi Open in July. The Russian has now reached six consecutive finals and he is into his ninth final of the season.

6 Zverev is into his sixth Masters 1000 final and he will bid for his 12th title overall on Sunday when he faces Medvedev.

4-0 Zverev’s head-to-head against Medvedev. The German has won eight of nine sets against the Russian but the pair have not met since the Rogers Cup in 2018, over a year ago.
