Julia Goerges will look to make it back-to-back titles at Luxembourg on Sunday. The defending champion won her ninth consecutive match at the BGL BNP Paribas Luxembourg Open on Saturday, defeating Kazahkstan’s Elena Rybakina 6-3 6-4 in one hour and 27 minutes.

Goerges will face Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko, who reached her second WTA final in as many weeks with a 3-6 6-3 6-2 victory over Russia’s Anna Blinkova.

Goerges cracked 28 winners against 15 unforced errors to win in straight sets for the first time in four matches this week at Luxembourg. The 30-year-old improves to 16-5 lifetime at Luxembourg--she was also a finalist at the event in 2010 when she lost to Roberta Vinci in the final.

Ostapenko and Goerges have never met at the WTA level. Goerges will bid for her 8th WTA title and second of the season (Auckland), while Ostapenko will bid for her third WTA title and first of the season.
