The Zhuhai semifinals come with a strong Spanish flavor.

Second-seeded Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut broke serve four times sweeping Andreas Seppi 6-2, 6-2 to reach his first semifinal since Wimbledon in Zhuhai.

Murray: Make Doubles Mandatory

Bautista Agut beat the 35-year-old Italian for the fourth time in as many meetings scoring his first straight-sets win in their rivalry.

The 31-year-old Bautista Agut is aiming for his first title since he stopped Stan Wawrinka, Novak Djokovic and Tomas Berdych in succession to win his ninth career title in Doha last January.

The world No. 10 will take on Alex de Minaur for a spot in the final.

The seventh-seeded Aussie broke in the third game of the final set edging fourth-seeded Borna Coric 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.

Spanish veteran Albert Ramos-Vinolas upset third-seeded Gael Monfils 7-5, 6-4. Dictating play with his forehand, Ramos-Vinolas won 14 of 20 points played on Monfils' second serve and broke serve five times in a one hour, 40-minute conquest.

It was Ramos-Vinolas' second win of the season over the acrobatic Frenchman following a 6-3, 6-1 sweep in Rome. Ramos-Vinolas avenged a straight-sets loss to Monfils at the US Open last month.

The 46th-ranked Spaniard will square off against Adrian Mannarino in an all-lefty semifinal.

Mannarino, who claimed his first ATP Tour title at the Libema Open in ‘s-Hertogenbosch last June, dismissed qualifier Damir Dzumhur 6-1, 6-4 on the strength of four service breaks.
