Sofia Kenin was a fierce finisher advancing to the Guangzhou final.

The 20th-ranked Kenin rolled through six straight games dispatching Russian Anna Blinkova 7-6 (2), 4-6, 6-1 to reach her fourth final of the season.

The 20-year-old American will take on 2011 US Open champion Samantha Stosur in the final. Kenin has dropped just one set in four tournament wins.

Wild card Stosur surrendered the first four games then stormed past Viktorija Golubic 2-6, 7-6(4), 6-1, into her first WTA final in two-and-a-half years.

The 35-year-old Stosur will play her first final since she defeated compatriot Daria Gavrilova to collect her ninth career title in Strasbourg.

"I just tried to hang in there and find a way to start playing a bit better," Stosur said. "She's very tough to play against so I'm just happy to get through. This is where everyone wants to be, so to now make it to the final, I'm really happy and I'll give it my best shot tomorrow."

The 129th-ranked Stosur has swept all four prior sets vs. Kenin, including a 6-2, 6-3 win on the grass of Eastbourne in June. This will be their first meeting on hard court.
