Roger Federer and other Wimbledon greats weigh in on the Wimbledon cancellation on social media.

Though it was expected, today’s Wimbledon cancellation marks the first time that a Grand Slam has been cancelled since the end of World War II in 1945. Naturally, the news was met with quite a bit of emotion on social media, with players sharing their thoughts on what ultimately is a difficult day for the sport.

Here are some of the early responses to the news that Wimbledon will not take place in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
