16-year-old Coco Gauff has burst into the public eye because she is an immensely talented tennis player. But the rising American wants to be much more than that and she has pledged on social media to use her growing platform for good.

The above tweet came several days after Gauff had taken to social media to describe the pain she was feeling when learning about the horrible death that George Floyd suffered in Minneapolis this week.

It has been a difficult moment for America, with protests running far into the night on Thursday evening – not just in Minnesota, but in several cities around the nation.

On Friday, Gauff posted her most powerful piece, a TikTok video of herself raising her arms as the caption reads "Am i next?"

Gauff wasn’t the only WTA teenager to act. Canada’s Bianca Andreescu was also active in calling for justice.
