Teenagers are all the rage at the 2021 US Open. Despite the fact that 18-year-old Carlos Alcaraz was forced to retire from his quarterfinal against Felix Auger-Aliassime on Tuesday night, two teenagers have powered through to the semifinals on the women’s side. Let’s take a numerical look at the incredible achievements of Emma Raducanu and Leylah Fernandez at the US Open.

19 Fernandez turned 19 during the tournament on September 6. The Canadian entered this year’s US Open with a ranking of 73.

16 Raducanu, who is the first qualifier to ever qualify for the semifinals at the US Open, has won all 16 sets she has played since qualifying.
