Day 5 of the Aussie Open was full of blistering performances. It also had its share of interesting statistics. Here are a few of them, by the numbers…

8 - Number of games dropped by World No.1 Ash Barty through three rounds. She defeated Camila Giorgi 6-2, 6-3 on Day 5.

57 - Barty saved all four break points she faced and has now held in 57 consecutive service games. She has saved all six break points she has faced through three rounds at the Australian Open.

9 - Number of games dropped by Victoria Azarenka through three rounds. The Belarusian is into the round of 16 at the Australian Open for the first time since 2016.


5-1 - Matteo Berrettini’s lifetime record in five-set matches after defeating Carlos Alcaraz on Day 5. The 18-year-old Spaniard drops to 3-1 lifetime in five-setters.

20 - Gael Monfils reached the round of 16 at a major for the 20th time. The 35-year-old becomes the third Frenchman to achieve the feat, joining Richard Gasquet and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

8 - The length of winning streaks currently held by Paula Badosa and Amanda Anisimova ahead of their round of 16 matches.

1 - Teenagers remaining in the Australian Open singles draws. That would be Clara Tauson of Denmark, who faces Danielle Collins on Day 6.
