Andy Murray Overcomes Tsonga, Qualifies for ATP Tour Finals Semi
By Tennis Now Staff
(November 9, 2012) --
Andy Murray
ended his round-robin run at the 2012 ATP World Tour Finals in London with a 6-2, 7-6(3) win over
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga
. Murray shot out of the gates by breaking Tsonga in the opening game, but needed to work against a more even-keeled Tsonga in the second set.
This win against Tsonga, coupled with Djokovic's victory over Berdych, means that Djokovic wins Group A, and will thus qualify for the semifinals, and Murray will qualify second.
