Radwanska & Azarenka Continue Title Hopes As Another Williams Exits

Venus Williams - 2012 French Open(May 30, 2012) After a wild day 3 that saw Serena Williams lose for the first time ever in a first round match at a Grand Slam, Victoria Azarenka reminded us why she is the favorite to take the title at Roland Garros.

In just under an hour, Azarenka defeated Dinah Pfizenmaier 6-1, 6-1 to move into the third round, where she will face the Canadian Aleksandra Wozniak.

Third seed Agnieszka Radwanska took down Venus Williams in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 to knock out the second Williams sister from the tournament. Radwanska will have her work cut out for her in the next round as she takes on Svetlana Kuznetsova.

Azarenka dominated the match from the beginning, breaking the outmatched German five times. Samantha Stosur took down American hope Irina Falconi in straight sets 6-1, 6-4.

Australia's best will move on to play Nadia Petrova of Russia, who grabbed a straight set win over Chanelle Scheepers.

Other seeds advancing are Ana Ivanovic, Sara Errani, Sloane Stephens, and Ana Medina Garrigues; who were all straight set winners.
 

The German hope Angelique Kerber had her match rescheduled due to the rain today.
