The world No. 7 did not surrender a break and won 30 of 32 first serve points in taking out Brown in one hour and 23 minutes.
Berdych is currently in seventh in the ATP’s race to London, but he needs to reach the final in order to pad his lead on his contenders.
Elsewhere in Stockholm, American Jack Sock kept up his fine form with a 7-6(3), 6-3 victory over Frenchman Jeremy Chardy to set up a quarterfinal clash with defending champion Grigor Dimitrov.
Sock, fresh off his first top ten win over Kei Nishikori last week in Shanghai, has won six of eight matches since the US Open and is into his second quarterfinal in his last three events.
