Berlocq (July 13, 2013) -- Carlos Berlocq won his first ATP title on Sunday, defeating Fernando Verdasco, 7-5,6-1, at the SkiStar Swedish open in Bastad, Sweden.

Stuttgart: Fognini is Fab, Wins First Title.

Berlocq becomes the ninth 30-plus-aged winner on the ATP tour this year.

Verdasco, meanwhile, has now lost six straight finals dating back to his last title in Barcelona in April of 2010.

Berlocq took a 4-1 lead in the first set, but Verdasco rallied to level at four-all. The Argentine would fail to convert two set points with Verdasco serving at 4-5, but he converted two games later to take the first set.

Berlocq becomes the second Argentine to win the Bastad title, and he's also the ninth unseeded player to win an ATP title in 2013.

He dominated the second set, losing only five points on serve and breaking Verdasco's serve twice on six opportunities.
