(September 21, 2010) Bob Bryan has found his doubles partner for life. Bob is engaged to long-time girlfriend Michelle Alvarez, the pair announced in separate Twitter posts today. "Just got engaged to (Michelle) at Pfeifer Falls in Big Sur, CA. Special place, special girl," Bob tweeted.

The 32-year-old Bryan popped the question 10 days after he partnered twin brother Mike to beat India's Rohan Bopanna and Pakistan's Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi, 7-6(5), 7-6(4) to capture their third US Open championship and ninth Grand Slam title.

Alvarez is a Florida-based attorney and self-described "tennis love" who was on hand to watch Bob sweep the US Open doubles and mixed doubles titles. The couple are second and third from left in the photo above.

"So happy to spend the rest of my life with the most amazing person. We're engaged!" Alvarez tweeted.

Bob grew up in Camarillo, California, was an all American at Stanford and returned to northern California to get engaged. The Bryan brothers both live in Florida.

Tennis Now caught up with the Bryan brothers earlier this year for this video interview in which they discuss tennis tactics, relationships, their band and making music with John McEnroe, Novak Djokovic and Andy Roddick.
