Defending champion Jelena Jankovic will go for her second straight Claro Open Colsanitas title after advancing to Sunday's final in Bogota, Colombia.

Top seed Jankovic faced off against South Africa's Chanelle Scheepers in their semifinal. Jankovic easily took the first set in just 24 minutes but faced a stiffer challenge in the second set.

Despite building a 5-3 lead, Jankovic found herself broken by Scheepers who leveled the set at 5-all. Scheepers served for a tiebreak a few games later. But Jankovic broke Scheepers in the final game to secure a 6-1, 7-5 victory.

The win not only sent Jankovic into the final but also sealed her 550th career WTA victory. Jankovic is now ranked third among all active WTA players with the most wins behind Venus Williams (651) and Serena Williams (647).

Garcia Reaches First Career WTA Final

France's Caroline Garcia booked her place into her first ever WTA final in Bogota. Taking on American Vania King in the earlier semifinal, Garcia struck nice aces en route to a 6-2, 6-4 win.

Jankovic leads the overall head to head versus Garcia 2-0. Both of their previous matches were close contests with Garcia holding match points before Jankovic prevailed in both meetings.
